GUY HARVEY GIVES KEYNOTE ADDRESS AT LAUNCH OF SOUTH FLORIDA MARINE RESEARCH HUB

On Thursday, November 2nd, Guy Harvey was proud to join the Marine Industries Association of South Florida, Nova Southeastern University, the University of Miami, Florida International University and Florida Atlantic University to officially launch the new South Florida Marine Research Hub (SFMRH). Comparable to Silicon Valley or North Carolina’s Research Triangle, the SFMRH is a consortium of universities, already individually known for cutting edge oceanographic research, that joined forces to further advance the work being done to conserve our oceans. Dr. Harvey provided the keynote address, speaking about the Guy Harvey Research Institute’s extensive research work in shark and billfish conservation. “These universities are each doing incredible work,” says Dr. Harvey. “Now that they have all joined forces and are working together, they can bring about more meaningful, positive change for our oceans.”
